Gualtallary Merlot



Located in Gualtallary, Tupungato at 1,400 mts above sea level, at the foot of The Andes Mountains in Mendoza.
Age: 12 years old
High trellis conduction system and drip irrigation.
Harvest: hand-picked at the end of March.




Important agronomic work in order to obtain healthy even grapes and excellent enological maturation. Once chosen, the grape bunches are placed in boxes for their transportation to the winery.
Precise elimination of stalk, whole berries are sent to a small stainless steel tank.
Alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts, temperature control, between 28 and 30 ºC.
Total maceration time: 26 days.
Transfer method for thick flock elimination, placed in new French oak barrels for 15 months.

Alcohol: 14,0%.
Sugar: 1,85 gr/lt.
Total acidity: 5,70 gr/lt.
pH: 3,70.




Important intense profound red color. Intense ripe red berries and some spices. A rich, fleshy wine, important structure, complex due to appropriate time in oak barrels, of great personality.
